NTRO: Webflow design & development

A national transport research organisation. One site for its services across road, rail, ports and airports, its software products, a training catalogue and a large library of news and research.

What it solved

NTRO is a national transport research organisation. It measures and tests roads, rail, ports and airports, sells software for managing them, and trains the people who work on them.

That’s a lot to fit on one site: ten services, six software products, a training catalogue, events, a research library and years of news. A visitor from a road agency and a visitor from a port need different things, and both had to find them quickly.

What NTRO needed:

  • Let a visitor pick their sector and see what applies to them.
  • Give every service and every product its own page.
  • Make courses, news and research easy to search and filter.
  • Let NTRO’s team publish all of it without a developer.

What we built

The design and the build were both ours, on Webflow. A visitor can reach the same content by sector, by service or by search.

  • The What NTRO Offers section, with tabs for Roads, Rail, Ports and Airports above a grid of services.

    Services by sector

On the home page a visitor picks roads, rail, ports or airports, and the list of services changes to match.

  • A grid of training course cards, each with a photo, a title, a level and whether it is online or in person.

    A training catalogue

Every course shows its level, whether it is online or in person, and its CPD hours. Courses can be searched and filtered.

  • The news list, with a search box and category filters on the left and a grid of posts on the right.

    News and insights

Years of news, case studies and research posts in one list, with a search box and filters for category and type.

  • The product page for GoAsset, a pavement management system, with a photo of a road.

    A page for each product

Each software product has a page that says what it does and who it is for, with downloads and release notes where they apply.

Why Webflow

Services, products, courses, events and news are all collections in Webflow’s CMS. NTRO’s team adds a course or a news post by filling in a form, and the lists and filters update on their own.
