Why agencies hand us their Shopify work.

Everything below is in writing before we start, and checked before your client sees the store. Where it can be shown working, it is.

01

Inside your agency, not beside it.

We join your team as your staff, so your client only ever deals with your agency.

  • Your email, your name

Your lead works as priya@youragency.com. Collaborator requests come from your agency’s Partner account.

  • In your Slack and board

Tasks, preview links and questions land where your team already works. No new tool to learn.

  • On your hours

Your lead works your business day and replies within 2 working hours during a project.

  • No trace of us

No theme credit, footer link, code comment or invoice your client could ever see.

How we work inside your agency

02

How we build Shopify stores that perform.

Four things every store we build is held to, each checked before your client sees it. Pick one to see it working, and how we get there.

  1. Your client’s team changes pages themselves, without a developer or a ticket to you.

    • Online Store 2.0 JSON templates, with sections and blocks on every page type
    • Product data in metafields and metaobjects, edited once, shown everywhere
    • Theme settings for colours, type and layout, not hard-coded values
    • App blocks instead of code injected into the theme
    • A section map of every template, so nothing is a mystery later
  2. Mobile Lighthouse 80+ on the home, collection and product templates at handover.

    • A performance budget set per template before the build starts
    • Responsive images from Shopify’s CDN in modern formats, sized per breakpoint
    • The hero image and fonts preloaded; everything below the fold lazy-loaded
    • Deferred JavaScript and CSS split by section
    • App scripts audited and loaded only on the pages that need them
    • The Lighthouse report is handed over with the store
  3. Real test orders, not a click-through of the happy path.

    • Every payment method: cards, Shop Pay, PayPal and pay-later
    • Every shipping zone, tax rule, discount code and free-shipping threshold
    • Checkout extensions and Shopify Functions tested in each market
  4. Every app slows the store and adds a bill, so we only add the ones that earn it.

    • Theme code instead of an app wherever it is cleaner
    • Every app and its monthly cost in the quote, never marked up

Guaranteed in writing, on every store.

  • On time, or a full refund.

The delivery date goes in writing at kickoff. Miss it for a reason on our side and the whole project fee comes back.

    How the guarantee works
  • 30-day bug warranty.

Anything we built that breaks in the first 30 days after launch is fixed free, however small.

    What the warranty covers

The Shopify engineering in every store.

Not a checklist we show at the end. These are the standards the code is written to from the first commit, whoever designed the store.

  • Clean, semantic code

Code another developer can pick up in an afternoon.

    • Semantic HTML: landmarks, one H1, ordered headings, real buttons and links
    • Small, reusable Liquid snippets rendered with render, not include
    • Plain JavaScript web components, no jQuery, no page builders
    • Shopify Theme Check clean, in Git, every change peer-reviewed
  • Mobile first, fully responsive

Most of your client’s shoppers are on a phone, so we start there.

    • Designed and built from 360 px up, then scaled to desktop
    • Checked at six breakpoints on real iOS and Android devices
    • Thumb-friendly: 44 px tap targets, sticky add to cart, easy filters
    • Fast mobile menus and a cart drawer that doesn’t reload the page
  • Technical SEO

The store is easy for Google, and for AI answers, to read and rank.

    • Structured data for products, reviews, breadcrumbs and the organisation
    • Canonical URLs, clean handles and no duplicate collection paths
    • Editable titles and descriptions, with sensible defaults from product data
    • Alt text on images, and hreflang when the store sells in several markets
  • Accessibility

More shoppers can buy, and your client carries less legal risk.

    • Checked against the common WCAG 2.2 AA failures
    • Full keyboard use with visible focus, including menus and the cart
    • Colour contrast, form labels and error messages checked
    • Motion reduced for shoppers who ask their device for it
  • Tracking that adds up

Every sale reaches the reports and the ad platforms, once.

    • GA4 and ad pixels through Shopify’s Customer Events
    • Server-side events for Meta and Google where the plan allows
    • Consent handled for every market the store sells in
    • Checked with a real test order before launch
  • Security and access

Nothing in the store depends on us after handover.

    • Two-factor login on every account we use
    • No secret keys in theme code
    • Custom apps scoped to only the data they need

Two ways to build a store. Both fixed price.

One fixed price per store, agreed in writing. It only changes if the scope does, and you approve any change first. Every inclusion is listed.

What moves across

  • Products, variants, images, and each product’s SEO title and description
  • Collections and categories
  • Customers, addresses and marketing consent
  • Order history, so customers see past orders in their account
  • Reviews, through the review app’s own importer
  • Gift cards and store credit, imported just before launch
  • Subscriptions, with payment tokens moved through Recharge or Skio
  • Blog posts, pages and their images
  • Every old URL, 301-redirected to its new home
What can’t move, and what we do instead
Customer passwords
No platform can export them. Customers get an account invite, written in your client’s brand voice, to set a new one.
Old plugins
Each one is replaced with theme code or a Shopify app. The replacements, and their monthly cost, are listed in the quote.
Stored cards
Cards move only where the gateway allows it. Where it doesn’t, we set up a reminder flow so subscribers re-enter them.
How we keep the rankings
  1. Crawl the old store and export every URL
  2. Map each one to its new URL
  3. Carry over titles, descriptions, alt text and structured data
  4. Import the redirects before launch
  5. Crawl again after launch, and watch Search Console for 30 days
How long it takes
StoreTypically includesTypical time
SimpleUp to 500 products, one language, a handful of apps3–4 weeks
StandardUp to 5,000 products, reviews, subscriptions or gift cards6–8 weeks
ComplexMagento, B2B, an ERP, or several markets and languages10–16 weeks

Who owns and pays for what.

The store, the code and the bills stay with you and your client. We list all of it in the quote before we start.

The store
Your client’s, from day one. A new store is built as a development store in your Partner account, and you transfer it to your client at launch.
Code and designs
Built in your accounts from the first day: the theme in the store, the code in your Git repo, the designs in your Figma. Nothing to hand back, nothing proprietary, nothing to license.
Store access
A collaborator account with only the permissions the job needs, removed at handover. Never a staff account in our name after launch.
Shopify plan
On your client’s own account and card.
Theme licence
A premium theme licence, if the build uses one. Paid by your client, or bought by us at cost with no markup.
Apps
Billed by the app maker to your client’s store.
Payment fees
Shopify Payments or gateway fees go to your client’s account.

Start small. Your first project is risk-free.

Pick any one item up to $750 and treat it as a trial. No commitment beyond it.

  • Paid through escrow: released only when you approve.
  • Not happy with it? We fix it within 5 business days, or you don’t pay.
  • On time, or a full refund, like every fixed-price project.

Shopify questions.

What agencies ask before they resell their first store.

All questions

Shopify Launch (a premium theme, customised) is $2,350 and Shopify Custom (a custom theme) is $5,000, both fixed prices. Building one template from your Figma is $275. Migrations, Plus and B2B work get a fixed quote after a short scoping call.

Only if the scope changes: more templates or products, an extra integration, or a brief that changes after sign-off. We price the change in writing, and nothing is added until you approve it. Delays on our side never cost you more; if we miss the date, the whole fee comes back.

No. We work from an email address on your domain, inside your Slack and board. Collaborator requests go out from your agency’s Shopify Partner account; if you don’t have one, it’s free and we’ll help you set it up. No theme credit, footer link or code comment names us.

Shopify Launch takes about 20 business days and Shopify Custom about 35, from the day we have everything we need. The date goes in writing at kickoff, and if we miss it on our side, the whole fee comes back.

Yes. Products, customers, order history, reviews, gift cards, subscriptions, blog posts and pages all move across, and every old URL is 301-redirected. The old store stays live until the switch, so there is no downtime.

Not from anything we control. We crawl the old store, map every URL to a 301, carry over titles, descriptions and alt text, and crawl again after launch. If we missed a redirect, we fix it free. We don’t promise rankings, because nobody honestly can; we promise the process.

Yes: checkout and thank-you page extensions, Shopify Functions for discount, shipping and payment rules, Flow automations, B2B company accounts and price lists, and Shopify Markets for currencies, domains and languages.

Most of the ones your clients use: Klaviyo, Judge.me, Okendo, Recharge, Rebuy, Gorgias, Loop and more. Paid apps are billed by the app maker to your client’s store. We list every app and its monthly cost in the quote, and use theme code where it’s cleaner.

Yes, on Next.js with the Storefront API, for content-heavy brands that need a custom front end. Shopify still runs products, checkout and orders. Most stores don’t need headless, and we’ll say so in writing if yours doesn’t.

At handover the home, collection and product templates score 80 or more for mobile performance in Lighthouse, and you get the report. Apps your client adds after launch can slow it down; our care plan checks for that every month.

Anything we built that breaks in the first 30 days is fixed free. After that, Store care covers updates tested on a duplicate theme, a test order after each one, edits and a report in your branding, from $149 per store per month.

Yes. Shopify Custom builds a custom Online Store 2.0 theme from your Figma or ours, up to 10 templates. A single template from your design is $275, built to the same standards and checked at six breakpoints on real devices.

Your client owns the store from day one. We work in your accounts, so the code sits in your Git repo and the designs in your Figma from the first day. There is nothing to hand back, nothing proprietary and nothing to license.

Yes. Both builds include up to five apps set up and tested. The apps’ own subscriptions are billed to your client by the app maker, and we list each one with its monthly cost in the quote. Connecting an ERP, 3PL or CRM by API, or more apps, is $100 per integration.

Yes. Every store we build is checked for the common WCAG 2.2 AA failures, including contrast, keyboard use, focus and form labels, at no extra cost. Full WCAG 2.2 AA fixes with a conformance note, for a store we didn’t build, are $100 per template.

Yes. Every template is built from Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks, with product data in metafields, so your client’s team changes pages in the theme editor. Each build comes with an editing guide and video in your branding.

Yes. Pick any one item up to $750 as a pilot. It’s paid through escrow and released only when you approve, and if you’re not happy we fix it within 5 business days or you don’t pay.

Shopify when your client wants hosting, security and checkout handled, and a store their team can run day to day. WooCommerce when the store must live inside a large WordPress site, or needs product logic apps can’t handle. We build both and recommend one in writing. We don’t build on Magento or BigCommerce; we move stores off them.

Quote your client a Shopify store today. We'll build it under your agency’s name.

Next: a short brief, then a written fixed price and delivery date. Nothing is charged until you sign the order.
